Simon Cellan Jones is a Welsh motion picture director. He is an episodic director for Magic City. He helmed the first season episodes "Atonement" and "Suicide Blonde". he has been active since 1981 and was successful in the UK prior to working in American television. He directed episodes of Cracker and Our Friends in the North. He first worked in the US in 2008 as a director for the second Gulf War mini-series Generation Kill for HBO, working with showrunner David Simon. He has also directed episodes of Treme, created by Simon. He has worked with HBO as a director for Boardwalk Empire and How To Make It In America.
